This session will address how to cultivate wellness as a means toward personal and professional success. Wharton MBA lecturer Annie Wilson will discuss how wellness is defined across different entities, common barriers to wellness, and strategies for more intentionally managing your time, money, and attention in order to improve well-being and balance across wellness domains. The wellness strategies we will cover include “defining wellness” more clearly for yourself and your organization, “finding your why” to nurture your sense of purpose at work, “tracking your time” to better prioritize activities that promote wellness, and “optimizing your use of technology” to reap the benefits of technology while reducing the downsides.
Presenter bio:
Annie Wilson is a lecturer of Marketing at the Wharton School. Annie has served as a senior behavioral scientist for Vanguard. She received a PhD in Marketing from Harvard Business School and a BA in English and Psychology from Georgetown University. Annie’s research interests include minimalism, signaling in consumer behavior, and responses to resource scarcity. Her research has been published in marketing journals including Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of the Association of Consumer Research, and Appetite, and has been covered in Harvard Business Review.
