The business case for gender diversity exists, and according to the women in the Fairygodboss Community, 63% say their CEO supports gender diversity (Fairygodboss 2018). And yet, it’s unfortunate to say that many women still experience what they perceive as a lack of equal treatment in the workplace.
According to data collected at Fairygodboss from tens of thousands of anonymous job reviews, 61% of women in the U.S. workforce feel they are treated fairly at work—which leaves significant room for improvement (Fairygodboss 2019). Based on Fairygodboss and third party research, we’ve identified four key ways women can promote gender diversity while advancing their careers at the same time.
