Last year, Forté surveyed nearly 1,500 MBA alumni about their career outcomes, work-life satisfaction, and perceived barriers to advancement. Join Forté’s Academic in Residence and Dean of the School of Business and Technology at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Michelle Wieser, as she shares what your classmates reported – everything from salaries and promotions to preferences for remote work. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear from Forté CEO Elissa Sangster and meet our new MBA alumni engagement lead, Liz Young.

Meet Dr. Michelle Wieser
Michelle Wieser, Ph.D. is the dean of the School of Business and Technology at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Before joining Saint Mary’s, Wieser served as interim dean, associate dean, and program director at St. Catherine University. Earlier in her academic career, she held leadership positions with the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and Washington University in St. Louis. Before entering academia, she held sales, marketing, and consulting roles with General Mills, Nestlé Purina, and EY Consulting.
Michelle is a former Forté board member and currently serves as Forté’s Academic in Residence. She has partnered with Forté since 2016 on research exploring the academic experience and career outcomes of MBA students by gender and race. Recently, this research has been highlighted in over 50 articles and TV and radio segments including the Financial Times, Bloomberg, Yahoo! Finance, and CBS News. Michelle received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, an MBA from Washington University in St Louis, and a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri. She resides in Minneapolis with her husband, John, 12-year-old daughter, Charlotte, and dog, Poppy.
