The words “machine learning” are more than the latest business buzz words. If you’re not tapping into the power of big data analytics, you’re already behind the curve. Washington University professor Seethu Seetharaman will discuss how to harness big data and machine learning to drive business forward. He’ll examine how machine learning algorithms can predict product sales and compare machine learning approaches with traditional marketing mix models. Using retail supermarket examples, Professor Seetharaman will share successful strategies on optimizing marketing mix variables like prices, features and promotions and he’ll discuss ways to determine optimal shelf locations for products. Join WashU alumni and other guests for an evening of business insight, networking and an introduction to the WashU Olin experience.
