Fuqua’s “Weekday for Women” is an event to celebrate women, held in NYC, DC, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, LA, San Francisco, and Durham, NC.

It’s already been said in so many blogs, articles, studies, and the like: Women connecting with other women  on a regular basis  is so very critical to our mental health! And let’s face, it’s just nice to gather and feel the lady power fill a room.

This year, as in past years, we all likely made various New Year’s Resolutions  get healthy, yada yada, and all that jazz. But one that we should probably add is to get out and cultivate more female friendships. While there may not be a clear plan in place as to how this will happen, beyond simply reaching out to women you already know that you don’t spend nearly enough time with, that is certainly a start.

While there may ebbs and flows to friend action, and sometimes you may need to wait for the random invite to a gathering before you’ll make any new connections, having the resolution looming prompts one to think differently about weekends and even weeknights. At the end of the day, connecting is good for the body, mind, and soul. Weekday for Women is that opportunity to connect!
